Having water trapped in the quartz make this exceptionally rare and very collectible, despite not having high optics, but killer translucency! Generally Speaking - Quartz is perhaps one of the most common but also the most diverse, in terms of colour as well as associated inclusions. Madagascar yields some of the best Optic to near Optic Rock Crystal Quartz in the world. The clarity and transparency is always world class. You do have variables; internal veils, wispy or rainbow optic features between the pieces - transparency and translucency between pieces can also be variable. Colours also range from smokey, white, amethyst, smokey amethyst and various rarities in-between.
