What is the ground elderberry?

The Ground elder herb (Aegopodium podagraria L.) is a plant belonging to the celery family. Its native area of ​​occurrence is Europe and Western Asia. The plant has a long history of use as a herbal ingredient, and owes its Polish name to the fact that it was once used as a traditional remedy for the treatment of gout.

The ground elder extract is a source of valuable phytonutrients such as: flavonoids, terpenes, carotenes (including provitamin A), organic acids, and valuable essential oils.

What is the strength and origin of the extract?

When planning supplementation, it is worth paying attention not only to the power of the extract, but also to its origin. Some supplement manufacturers use ground elderberry extracts of unknown, often Chinese, origin.

The extract contained in our product has been produced in Poland from start to finish, from herbs exclusively from Polish crops and is characterized by a high DER extraction ratio of 10:1. This means that 1000 mg of dried ground elderberry was used to obtain 100 mg of the extract.
